First time I had it was visiting my sister in law (Florida) and I couldn't believe how good it was...They opened one 15 minutes away from us & the management was so bad Popeye's closed it within a couple months...That was a few years ago & I'm still upset...That place is the chicken fast food king

Been going there since 5 years old… if you just want some good unhealthy chicken there is nowhere better in the world. Terrible service, rude staff. I don’t care just give me my spicy 3 piece with red beans and rice

I’m going to keep going to Popeyes myself because they have the best chicken sandwich in all of the fast food industry.

And mardi Gras is the (indirect)reason LSU for that being their colors as well.
It's like flying the palmetto tree and crescent. It's a state pride symbol not collegiate loyalty.

Agreed! Not that I frequent any chicken joint very often.
Nothing but cholesterol raising for myself so try to stay away from fried foods.

I don't dislike Zaxby's but it is probably 4th or 5th down here. We have Huey Magoo's, Chic-Fil-A, Zaxby's, Metro, Raisin' Cane, Popeye's and Bojangles. Metro is a sleeper. They have these GIANT chicken tenders that taste like a cross between granny's fried chicken and roasted chicken. Hands down the best chicken tenders I've ever had.
Lost Fatz when we moved down here but I hear they've shut down just about all of them.

Canes is trash. Least seasoning on chicken I’ve ever seen. Their claim to fame is dunking your chicken in a cup of their sauce. Zaxby’s is way better
