Pulling for DJ

Sep 1, 2022, 8:46 AM

I believe something as Clemson fans we can all get behind is a QB who did not have a great season last year putting in the work in the offseason to get better and become a stronger leader for this football team. Especially in this day in age where you can jump to the transfer portal to get out of situations and look for greener grass.

I am excited for DJ and I think as Tiger fans we should all be pulling for him to succeed this year, because a confident DJ is the best chance we have this year at playing deep into the postseason. He seems like a great kid and I wish that all Tiger fans can get behind him and encourage him to play his best ball this season.

I cannot wait to see our Tiger play this year, and I am hoping we will see a better version of DJ than we saw last year! Go Tigers!

I agree. I am pulling for him to have a great year. I have a sneaky feeling that he is going to surprise us this year with improved play. Last year we still won 10 games with a banged up team and sloppy play on offense. And our 3 losses we was in the game the entire time. So imagine if we have an above average offense this year.

I'm pulling for all the players on the field

and for the best player at every position to be on the field. Dabo Swinney has demonstrated he will start upperclassmen in the early games and start younger players who have outperformed over the next few games. He is certainly behind DJ.

And at the end of the day, at QB and every position, the rest of the team and the other 21 starters deserve to have the best player at QB and every position on the field ... to be at their best and achieve the most possible wins and highest possible ranking.

Same here.

You mentioned the transfer portal. He could have also:

1. been a ###### teammate because he sure wasn’t alone in blame for our struggles.
2. Sat out, citing injuries or personal matters to attend to
3. Made a bunch of excuses

He didn’t do any of those things. Instead, he kept his head down, worked hard and did his best.

The world isn’t fair, but DJ handled himself the right way. Would love to see him be successful.

I think someone who falls under those categories is playing down the road in Columbia.

I think we're all pulling for him---that's a no-brainer. But he needs some serious improvements around him if he's going to be the DJU we saw vs. ND. WR's need to run better routes, create separation, get off press coverage, and FIGHT for the ball. OLine needs much better pass pro.

If he has better play around him, I have no doubt he can elevate his game and have a good season.

Screw Calford.
