For me, I think what they are trying to say is he certainly wanted to be drafted but if he was going to ultimately have to sign a FA deal, Denver is where he wanted to go.

He went to a great team that needed depth. Congrats to him .. Not a big NBA fan however, will be watching and pulling for Denver !!!

In the NFL draft, late round picks would usually be better off not being drafted which allows them to pick the team they sign with and negotiate a contract.
Probably true in the NBA as well.
I don't know that he was literally called by a team considering drafting him and he told them "no" and they honored it but I guess it's possible.

Never know with nctigs, but the tweet he was referring to did not say that. The tweet is below and it was published by an nba insider with no connections to clemson. He recieved interest but ultimately didnt get drafted and he chose to play for the nuggets. Funny that randos in the comments speak more positively about pj than our own "fans"
