Hey, Mickey I see that we are in on a lot of top talent which is a good thing. I just hope that we can land a few more of those guys and not be left on the outside looking in. I think this upcoming season will really decide rather we continue on that upward trend towards being a powerhouse program like FSU, Bama, LSU, OSU etc.. I live in Metro Atlanta and I coach baseball at the Grayson High School Rec Park that acts a feeder program for baseball, football for Grayson High School. I wear my Orange almost everyday I go to the park. All I am hearing from the other guys is that we will drop now that Watson has left, our program will come back to the pack because of 4. I can't really argue that will not happen as this is unprecedented territory for us and I hope that we have the foundation to continue our upward trend. Getting a few of those top recruits you mentioned in your blog will really depend on our upcoming season.

I do not think that recruiting top talent depends as much on how good the season is as how well players are drafted. I think we need to maintain a top 10 program to be in the conversation, but I do not think the expectation should be to go to the playoff or even win the ACC every year. FSU will stay a top 10 program and I think Miami is getting back with the current recruiting class. Louisville and NCSt may be a challenge this year as well.

We won't drop back to the pack.

This year's defense will be even better than last and there's too much depth of talent across the team for us to fall back. We're out-recruiting most everyone in the ACC except maybe FSU, and Dabo's doing more with his talent than Jimbo.
I think the post-Watson era will be very bright. He was very good, but we weren't a one-man team. Besides, how can you do better than the #1 QB for 2 years in a row?

Clemson STILL trails Muschamp and his bevy of 3 star chickens on the recruiting trail--at least according to 80% of the media outlets in SC and, of course, that bastion of truth and intellectualism--fgf
The only GOOD thing resulting from usuck's unlikely run in the NCAAT is all the chickenexperts around the state have momentarily forgotten about trying to convince Tiger fans that usuck has caught up with Clemson's football program talent-wise

Didn't make me very confident in landing any of those guys, other than the few already committed. I guess the "take" from the post is if we can get them to Tiger Town, minds can be changed.....got it! Dabo and crew can work wonders if just given the slightest opportunity....????????????

We are at least in the hunt for all listed

Except Emory Jones bc we already have the classes top QB. We are in pretty good shape with KJ Henry, Jamaree Sayler, Jackson Carmen, and Anthony Cook. None are locks but wouldn't be surprised if we landed two of those four. Zamir appears distant to UGA at this point and is committing in June, need him and momma back on campus to have any real shot. Vincent is pretty much a OSU/FSU battle but we are a distant third. XT is Scars to loose but it isn't out of the realm to see them loose as a lot depends on how they perform this season, I can see them flopping. If XT wanted to be a Gamecock he would already be committed but he must have some legitimate concerns w the program. Surtain is a bit of a pipe dream but you never know, so was Wilkins, just get him back on campus. Parsons has never been here so never know w him but seems interested.

I think the current players at SC will determine his decision. If they end the season playing hard even with losses, I think he goes there but if they quit on the field like HFC's last year then he gonna be a tiger!

still to see who we are recruiting and try to jump in on them. Nice to see Dabo returning the favor on some of the Ohio kids.

It does bother me that so many of these highly ranked recruits say they are waiting till the bitter end to commit. I'd hate to miss out on a great 4* (so to speak) while being strung along by someone just enjoying the drama.
In Dabo I trust.
