I don’t see that working out. He didn’t seem like the quickest learner and now to learn a new position? Doubtful. Also, can he even catch? And then there’s the speed thing. I think he should purse baseball.

Dude has concrete blocks for feet. I'm 57 years old and I'm pretty confident I can beat his 40 time.

I can't see how he would be a good TE with his slow reaction time and pedestrian footwork...

I specifically remember it being discussed that DJ did not like the designed QB runs because he was not a big fan of getting hit.
Pretty sure he is going to take some punishment in the NFL as a TE.

I never understood the designed runs for him. To me it seemed like he needed a spread offense where he rarely ran.

He seems a little slow and I haven't seen any side of him to make me think he would be a good TE. I could see Schieffelin being a good TE before DJ, and Ian doesn't play football.

There's obviously a lot more money in being a mediocre college QB than a great TE and odds are he won't succeed at being a TE either.

Should have done this after 2021 when he only threw 9 TDs in 13 games. I wish him well. His brother is probably going to be a high draft pick next year as a DE... makes you wonder if DJ should have gone that route a long time ago.

At the end of the day, DJU is not have NFL-level talent which is fine, most collegiate players aren't. That's why you earn a degree.

he really has any of the traits required. I think people underestimate how skilled and athletic some of these TEs are.

TE is one of the most difficult to master because there are different types of TEs. I don’t think he could be an inline TE because of his lack of physicality. I don’t think he could be H-Back for the same reason. He might could be a Flex TE but as someone has already pointed out he is not very fast.

The article is *speculating* he could convert to TE to stick to a roster. There are no official details of this being an actual conversation yet.
Heck, who is the punter for LAC? DJ might give him a run for his money.

He is WAY too slow to be a TE. Never happen. You look at all the great TE's in the NFL and they can all move their feet like smaller men. DJU has always worn those concrete boots......or maybe that was Big Dave he was dragging around?

I though baseball would be great for him as a pitcher, I have faith God has great things for him to do for His Kingdom whether a preacher or a TE for the Cowboys!
