T's and P's would be appreciated

Aug 13, 2017, 10:23 PM

My brother in law passed away yesterday morning from an electrocution accident.

Him and my father in law were cleaning around a deer stand with a pole saw when the light line arced and killed him instantly. My father in law watched the entire thing and got hit bad as well when he pulled him off of the pole.

My brother in law leaves behind a wife and two young boys. One in sixth grade, one in fourth.

I'd be remiss if I didn't also take this moment to tell everyone to never hang a deer stand on a power pole.

Electricity scares the crap outta me, can't help it, I was raised that way. My dad was a lineman and lost his life when I was one, so mom kinda went overboard (I guess understandably so) about the danger. People have laughed at me because I won't even plug in something that looks suspect... worn looking cord, repaired with electrical tape, etc. If I plug something in and it "pops" I jump across the room...

You should see me installing a ceiling fan or replacing a light fixture... I shut off the power to the whole ### house... and even then I'm paranoid and have a mini panic attack when I have to actually touch the wires. I know it's silly, but I can't help it. ####, I wouldn't even replace the flood light bulbs at my girlfriend's house because the power line was only about 6 feet away... I kept imagining bizarre scenarios in which I somehow came in contact. She just laughed and did it herself.
