I know you guys have a hard time digesting this is happening

It makes no difference if you think have any information or not. I stand my initial post of May 3, and every one since. I guess we'll find out soon enough. With that... let me add a few things:
1. Do not believe everything you read on CBS and other "outlets". They are notoriously wrong and mis-informed, especially with the intitial reports.
2. Don't believe that FSU and ND are 11 and 12. Not true. Clemson and FSU are 11 and 12, and a push for ND afterwards. If ND were to say "no thanks", it would depend on who was available if they jump to 13 and 14 this summer. The goal has always been 14 though.
3. Everyone in the Big XII is on board with both Clemson and FSU.
4. Clemson does not "want" to leave the ACC. The ACC made it where we had to after refusing Clemson and FSU requests. Both Clemson and FSU have been tied together in this for a long time.
5. Big XII is very impressed with how Clemson has handled this and kept it together. You should be proud of the administration.
6. Will ND pull the trigger? I don't know. I did post yesterday morning that the idea of them joining in Olympic Sports was being floated, with football in 2016. Who will be 14? I don't know. GT had a great shot, but wanted to remain in the ACC... until it became apparent things were moving. Now they are trying to engage both Big XII and Big 10. UM flat out said they were cutting funding for sports programs... but they would still be attractive. There are rumors of a "promise" to Sen. McConnell to get UL in the Big XII in the next round of expansion. Maybe. But it's also true that UL has made a huge investment in football under Strong and are getting better.
We'll see

Because 10 or so of a vocal minority disagree with you. 90% of this board hopes everything you are saying is true.
You shoulda seen what happened when someone broke the Sammy story before the news reports... they got absolutely trashed on here. People seem to love what you have to say, me included

Not me either. I'm riding along with you b/c I want what you're saying to be true. I have 50 years tied up in Clemson FB/sports. If we/Clemson got left behind, I would be absolutely CRUSHED. It would probably cause me to grieve myself to death, or have a heart attact.

many are all in on this.
Now, on the other hand--when it does happen I expect a bashlash from national media like Benno Cook telling us it is the worst move ever by a CFB program, blah, blah, blah. It will be kinda like when we let Bowden go--but we had to do it-the same here.
GO TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree. Our expansion poll at the moment shows 80%+ favor a move to the Big 12.

you statement about ND is most likely correct. If the B12 is expanding this year it sure as heck ain't gonna get ND football. There is no way they break their present contract and take the prorated pay the Big 12 is notorious for offering.

We shouldn't believe any thing the mass (and not so mass) media says but should believe you because you follow a guy in WV and have a friend out in the Big 12?
Now I'm not saying what will and won't happen but making statements like that is ridiculous and frankly shows insecurity. State you opinion about what you think is going to occur (nothing is a fact until something actually happens) and let reality sort it all out. Maybe you be vindicated maybe you won't; maybe CBS will be right maybe they won't. Regardless all the posturing does nothing.

York Tiger you are correct that many IPTAY and other Tiger fans and supporters are having a real hard time coming to terms with the circumstance of Clemson departing the ACC, especially as a charter member, however change is a part of organizations and the BOT has to keep the university on a path where our total athletic program can compete nationally.
There are some aspects of the proposed move that everyone of us doesn't like, but without an invite from a closed SEC I believe we have no choice based upon all that has taken place within the ACC recently. College football as we have known it all our lives is no longer going to remain static and unchanged. Clemson has to be in the forefront of that shift or we and any member of the ACC will be sadly left behind for lack of vision.
Go Tigers!

I don't know york, but I think he's on the money. Clemson was a charter member of the Southern Conference and they left it. Being a charter member of the ACC is no reason to stay. Tobacco Road looks down their nose at Clemson. The best thing to do when on a dead end street is to get off of it. The ACC is a dead end street for any serious football program. The Clemson administration knows where the money comes from to support athletics. It ain't in the ACC.

it's not all factual, and I don't think it's necessarily the done deal his "deep connections" tell him it is. I think the truth is some combination of the multitude of tweets, blogs, and articles. You can basically pick any source you want, and you'll probably be partially correct about something. That's okay though, because if any of it ends up being wrong, then he will just say it's "only what he was told". But if any of the stuff he's posting ends up coming to fruition, even in part (and I think it will), then he'll be posting "i told you so" in a bunch of different ways. You can bank on it. It's all good though.

Nice try though.
Again, thanks for the work. That's awesome how the whole Big 12 is impressed with how Clemson has kept it together, and I'm equally impressed with how the entire Big 12 has kept that from leaking to the general public.
Just curious, do you know any other stories CBS has botched? What about those clowns at Texas? Their sources are not so hot either.
Please let us know what your sources are telling you about timing. When is it all going down? Surely there's a plan, and surely they have to know it. They can't know all these other minute details but not also know the planned timing.
I assume Clemson and FSU will be announced first, since Clemson and FSU are tier 1 and since the deep sources say Clemson is the school who is really leading the charge.. then ND, if they accept.

doesn't the Big12 have their conference meetings mid-June? Isn't that about the time our "advisory" committee is supposed to deatil their findings?
