I'm betting J.D. Vance will be elected president in 2028.

And I'm never wrong.
Sirriusly, this guy has "it" in spades, something both current candidates lack. Politics is a funny game and there will be all kinds of unforseeable twists and turns between now and then, but I see Vance as a breath of fresh air who has the ability to connect with some degree of sincerity without insulting half of the country. Just my opinion, but he's got to be the front runner for 28, and I wish it was him in 24.

Choosing JD Vance instead of Nikki Haley likely costs the GOP the election.

There are a number of things that will have contributed, but women don't like JD Vance.

Choosing Tim Walz instead of Josh Shapiro may cost the Dems as well

It would have been refreshing to see Vance vs Shapiro. Both are smart, thoughtful and civil.
If Harris wins, I bet she loses in 2028. If Trump wins, I bet the Dems win in 2028, so it may be to Vance's advantage to take the L this time around???

I don't see how it will have made any difference. Two excellent options.

By not being the VP choice, Shapiro has been able to spend the majority of his campaigning time in Pennsylvania. If he can't deliver Pennsylvania in that scenario, he couldn't have done it as the VP candidate.
I would add that Vance has hardly been civil and his ambition has clouded his judgement. Nikki went from the big house to the outhouse in record time.

him dipping his toes into the "End the Fed" speak got me excited
Not having followed much of this, I did listen to Vance and Fetterman on JRE.
I was actually kind of surprised by Vance. According to everything you guys write I thought he'd be a complete moron ... seems like a pretty cool dude (still pretty religious it sounds, which is fine). At a later date I'll check out his episode on Theo Vonn's podcast. Heard that was really good too.
Fetterman as well. He seemed like a reasonable, genuine guy which seems more and more rare. Feel for him having to suffer through the stroke. Obviously disagree on some of his positions - he strikes me as an old school union type guy (which I think he is, right?) - but appreciate the sincerity and respect. It seemed as though he's toeing the party lines on some things he doesn't fully agree with...which is fine they all do. I can see why people like him up there. He didn't seem quite as sharp as Vance...but obviously idk how much the stroke impacts that, if at all.
Nothing wrong w/ good people with differing viewpoints, as I disagree with both of them on most of their positions.

I m a woman and I find Vance to be somewhat creepy. I had never heard of him before recently. When I see him with his little Indian wife I sense that he’s controlling with her. I know she’s a lawyer so she should have some balls but she appears mousy when she’s following him around.

Anything can happen if Kamala wins and is still on the ticket in 2028. If Trump wins Vance will never be president.
