He is a Dawg at heart but he says it like it's and is extremely honest and can keep being a UGA homer in check when discussing CFB. I miss him on ESPN.

Totally agree that GameDay went downhill when they dropped Pollick and added Pat McAfee . Google "GameDay Loud mouth", and you get McAfee. He ruined GameDay for me.

Couldn't agree more. I always thought that Pollack was the "heir apparent" for Lee Corso and then they sent him packing and brought in McAfee who is more like a walking secondhand embarrassment generator. Pollack is knowledgeable, studies the game and does a great job breaking down the content. When he was on Atlanta sport-talk radio with Mike Bell several years ago, I enjoyed listening to him and then he left for ESPN which was a great pick up for them. Letting him go was, IMO, a mistake. You can almost see Saban cringe when he has to sit next to McAfee and his antics.
ESPN will never bring him back, but if he went to FOX and the Big Noon Kickoff, I'd never watch another episode of College Game Day again.

ESPN made a big mistake letting him go in favor of McAfee. I know a lot of people like Pat, and he definitely brings something unique to the show, but I think it will wear on people after a while. Corso was goofy, but that wasn't his main thing. His main thing was his knowledge and experience. McAfee really doesn't have much of either. He's 100% entertainment/goofiness. Maybe it'll work. Who knows. I still watch Gameday sometimes (as much as I ever did, anyway). It's generally a great show. But I just think Pollack brought a lot more to the table than McAfee does.
Anyway - point is, Pollack is a good guy with class and integrity and a great deal of football knowledge.

I absolutely agree with your post! I always enjoyed and appreciated DP’s commentary. I also agree Mcafee brings some entertainment value but I MUCH prefer good analysis over screaming gimmicks.
Keep the field goal mockery for a special piece but swap DP back for mcafee on the desk.
Go Tigers!!
