I don't see anyone DEFENDING the loss to the Gamecocks.
They may be defending the overall success of the season, or the coaching staff's efforts, or the team's overall improvement... but I don't see anyone defending the loss itself.

Overall success of the season? Improvement of the program? Success of our inept coaches? Are you kidding me? We have met zero regular season goals, lost at home again to our rivals, and been embarrassed at home by an under matched team. Give me a break, the only reason we have 9 wins is we had a cake schedule in a terrible conference. Things need to change and fast, Dabo needs to clean house with very few exceptions

I was mostly focused inwardly with just a shot at our worthless (literally) conference, but since you about it, the conference was 1-11 against ranked non conference opponents, the lone win being Cuse vs #25 UNLV. But please go on, tell me how wrong I am and how we are in the greatest conference on earth, bring the stats with you to back it up. I’ll wait…

if went the other direction , the game could have gone in our direction
the guys looked really good out there and they. ever gave up
it's time to not focus on what's in the last and look forward to next Saturday. there is a championship to go win .

Our receivers looked pretty good but other than that there was nothing that resembled a championship level program. Sellers looked like Cam Newton out there. Our pass rush looked like a bunch of slow goofball. Barrett Carter is scared of contact and pretending to be a linebacker. Our coach keeps playing an injured Mafah when we have some stud backups ready to go. That's just what I saw though.

It's unbearable to hear people crap dumping on our coaches, players and staff. However, RevDodd established a code of conduct long ago which allows for Tnetters to vent their anger, frustration and discontent after a loss.
It's two days, Sunday and Monday and then it's not no longer tolerated.
With that I bid all adieu.
I'll be over in the lunge with all the drunks if you need me.

However, Clemson football is lucky as a dwag with two ...ks. I wouldn't go back to 11:59 am and change anything after getting a shot as SMU in the CCG.
Sure, we should have won it, I can look back at the game and give a dozen things we should have done differently but that's hindsight. First I would have paid those officials to call a straight up fair game rather than letting us run a play then throwing a flag on the previous play 5 minutes later.
I probably wouldn't have run Mafah as much and would have had their butholes draw up about Cade running the ball by calling QB draws more often....dozens of hindsight observation but the fact is we came out yesterday smelling like a chicken but with a CCG scheduled this coming weekend.
I found great consolation in that but the pain yet abides.
