Tommy could never get over the hump. He got into coaching off his dads name and won with Rich Rods offense. Once he was by himself he could not get things going consistantly (other than beating USuC) and always blamed something other than his arrogant self for the loss.

Please let Jesse Palmer know this term "Bowdening"

But he did graduate his players and go to a bowl game every year . May have been on a blue field with snow .

He took us from a terrible, terrible 3-8 program to a very respectable program again. He owned the Gamecocks. He beat FSU. He drove the improvements to the facilities. He improved the academics of the program. He brought in better talent and better coaches. He brought in Dabo, recommended him and stepped away.

During his tenure here he did not quite get us to the promised land of Conference titles or National titles...just like hundreds of other coaches couldn't do during the same period. Not all of them had a destroyed program to rebuild in order to get there. I won't support anyone, especially some ESPN hack, acting like Bowden's efforts somehow deserve specific derision for not "getting over the hump."

Let Jesse Palmer know the term is "college football." If he spent more time appreciating it instead of trying to be clever, he might be watchable again (like last Thursday).

just won't let that term die. You can't change it, call it something else, rename it or make it mean anything other than what it was intended to mean.
