Playoff system = Death of the SEC hype?

Jan 9, 2014, 2:15 PM

my guess is it will be the beginning of the end and the crazy media bias will be less impactful with a playoff system. Not saying the SEC will not remain a premier conference (as they rightfully are) but think the ridiculousness of the past years will begin to subside.... things always change and nothing last forever. Can't wait for this chapter in the absurd to close.

Will be worse.

Sec network starts. . You think espn will downplay its money maker?

Do you think they will not try to get at least 2 Teams in the playoff?

They managed to get StanfOrd a higher ranking than they deserVed.

Geville Tiger on Clemson football , "Dabo's only problem is he has to deal with turd fans questioning every move he makes.”

Agreed. E$ecPN will continue to pimp its investment***

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

Maybe for a year until they figure out how to manipulate it.***

Agree. But, it may lead to an 8 team playoff and may

even lead to further conference realignment with 4 super-conferences with the 4 conference champions making up the 4 team playoff (essentially an 8 team playoff with the confernce championship games).

SEC will always get 2 in the playoff

thus the odds for another SEC championship increase. It will always be rigged in their favor.

If they don't it won't be for a lack of trying by E$ecPN***

And it won't be the coots. They'll be right back in the ol Tangerine bowl. LOL

Nope. ESecPN will

Do everything they can to overhype the conference in order to get at least 2 teams into the playoff. I guarantee they will debate that 3 teams have resumes to get in, depending on the year and the other top teams. Just think, if Bama were to beat Auburn, Auburn beats LSU, and LSU beats Bama, and they all don't have any other losses, all w the one loss. And then the west champion wins the SEC championship game. ESPN would have a field day saying that all 3 should get in the playoff. I know it's highly unlikely but just an example. You think if the same thing happened w FSU, Clemson, and Louisville, they would say we should all get in. **** NO!
