The strings were too long on the cans and you could not communicate. Then all the passenger pigeons died. Users could not understand the Navaho code. So they had to go to another format.

The thing I miss the most is just working on the site in Clemson House I think, despite being on a 14.4k modem connection, hah. I wish we had taken some pics of our room, but not sure any exist.
The board was more civil I'm sure with fewer members, but it didn't take long for trolls to find us
