If hypothetically you were going to one concert at Bridgestone arena in Nashville next May and you’re picking between AC/DC for a hundo or so, or Pearl Jam for $250 or so, the Australians are ahead before even considering price, right? I figure I have a lot more opps to see PJ over AC/DC over the next decade.

I have guaranteed good PJ tix because Preds season tickets, but I’ve never seen AC/DC live somehow and feel it has to be remedied before another member dies.

We are especially good at intimate venues like NoIntro's favorite, the Jefferson Center or the aforementioned Harvester.

I have your answer, Mr. Obed

Alright, if Obed wants to rock so hard that his pants might just spontaneously combust from the sheer power of AC/DC's guitar riffs, then AC/DC it is. Imagine Angus Young in his little schoolboy outfit, strutting around like he's the rock god he was born to be, and if that doesn't make you want to headbang like you're trying to unscrew your own head, nothing will.
On the other hand, if he's looking for a night where Eddie Vedder and Pearl Jam might serenade him with tales of grunge angst, where the crowd sways like they're in a slow-motion mosh pit, and the energy is more about feeling every single word rather than feeling the bass in your balls, then Pearl Jam it is. It's like choosing between a wild #### of rock or a passionate, poetic one-night stand where the lyrics are the foreplay, and the encore is like the afterglow.
So, does Obed want to bang like thunder or jam like he's got a soul? That's the real question here.

even though I like ACDC much more, their time has passed. Is Brian Johnson back singing or is it Axl or somebody else? I would opt for a band that is still whole.
if it was 20 years ago, answer would be different.

If not, then it really really just Angus so maybe not worth it.
While it is true you never miss a chance to see a legend it is worth considering how you want to remember said legend. I skipped seeing B.B. King back when I was poor because it would have been an iffy finical decision and I knew the show wasn't going to be B.B. at his best.

you could go to Aaron Rents, get a good sound system, buy all of both of their bootleg live CDs at the flea market, listen to both bands in your underwear as much as you want then let Aaron repo the stereo after a month.

how shiddy the Who was at the end for reference. I think an Eddie show might be cool, he’s an interesting cat. Not sure I’d pony up the $ for the full PJ experience.

Maybe it was because of the large venue, but the last time I saw PJ, their sound wasn't that good
Was Billy Strings an option?

Good buddy turned me on to him and dragged me to several tiny shows before he blew up. I’m guilty of being all “eww it’s not the same now” even though I’m positive it’s still a fantastic show. It’s just mentally tough to pay top tier ticket prices for someone you saw for $20.
