Vance Hammond back in the 80's was a DL out of Spartanburg, and was, if I remember correctly 6'9" or 6'10". Beyond that, I don't remember many over 6'8"

I have a coworker that played high school and college ball with Ed Too Tall Jones at Tennessee State in the 70s. Said he was larger than life.
