Apparently not in the manner he wants to become accustomed to.
Do these guys have agents now, or just family/hangers on/parasites advising them?

He's saying it is scrappy rip leave your team going into playoffs when you could wait and do it later. You're holding people hostage.

His team is in the playoffs. He plays…they design plays for him. He’s not just a benchwarmer.
It’s a terrible look, quitting your team and teammates a few days before the school’s first-ever playoff game.

No. Stellato was injured and couldn’t play. He was done for the year whether he transferred or not.
This PSU backup QB quitter is much worse.

Penn State and Franklin probably agreed with him once he said he was transferring.

You’re probably right.
Might as well save the cost of laundering his uniform and feeding him, not to mention him being a negative influence on the team.
Even up north, quitters are a negative influence in team sports.

I'd rather someone go ahead and leave as opposed to the Sam Hartman route. He basically stuck a WF decal on his gold Notre Dame helmet during the bowl game.

The issue right now that is that he can't do both

If he sticks around for the CFP he can't transfer and if he transfers he has to do it now and miss the CFP. I'm assuming Drew Allar is coming back to Penn State next year so it makes sense for Pribula to find another landing spot for next year rather than back up Allar again next year as a JR.

The answers are always so rational. People are always looking for something somebody is doing wrong. He had to transfer now if that was his goal play next year for another team.

Couldn’t he transfer after the spring semester is over?
To your point, he’d be missing a huge benefit of spring practice which would otherwise accelerate his acclimation to his new destination’s plays and team chemistry if he had hung around to play (or watch from the bench) PSU in the CFP.

This is not true at all. Players on teams in the playoffs have a separate window to enter the portal.

He can transfer after their last game. There are provisions for players in playoff games to allow more time.

It's not nonsense but why not wait to announce so they can play in playoffs especially if they talk to the HC? Maybe I am missing something except for the fact that loyalty and the $$$$ signs are corrupting seasons for the schools and the fans. If the Penn St QB goes down with injury, this 2nd string guy may save the playoff game for the team and fans.
Just like Marshall cancelling their bowl, costs the players money and swag, cost the fans that supported them for 12mos enjoyment of success, cost the school bowl earnings and the conference bowl earnings. I don't begrudge players transferring if they are looking for greener grass since its legal, but there needs to be a way to protect the schools, fans, team and monetary losses if players expect to get paid.
Right now, the post season is a Chit-Show of players leaving (and it's legal I understand) but there needs to be monetary protection of the schools and conferences if the players want to be part of profit-sharing. I guess the NCAA is to blame as they set the transfer schedule but still really hurts a lot of people as players jump early. Just like Stellato could likely have helped us especially if we have WR go down during playoffs as he should be healthy enough now.

Yeah you're missing the portal dates

Portal closes on the 28th and Penn State plays on the 21st. Would it make you feel better if he waited until after Penn State played SMU and THEN entered the portal? Good chance Penn State would still be alive and playing football then too, just gives him one less week to find a landing spot.

The NCAA has every right as a professional sports organization to set ground rules. Transfer, ok , transfer all u want but you must sit out a year.
Or
In MLB , if you lose a player to free agency which is the exact same thing happening in college football, then whatever team they sign with has to give a draft pick or money to the former team. So since there is no formal draft for college football, have the team who signed the player give up the same amount of cash it took to sign the player.
