there is no way in #### that Payton Wilson is better than Trotter!!!! Not even close!!! And he wins Butkus and Bednarik awards??? This is worse slight than FSU not making the playoffs!!!

I said this when it happened. There wasn't a better LB in college football last year than Trotter.

Wilson was certainly deserving this year, not everything is a conspiracy. More tackles, .5 more sacks, more int’s if you’re just looking at the stats. Don’t know if there was another single player that meant more to a team’s defense than he did.

Stats don't tell the full story. 33 of his tackles were against VMI, UConn, and Marshall. Trotter barely even played in our "gimme games". Just Put on the tape and watch the two. See who gets drafted first!

Trotter also projected 37th best draft prospect, #1 LB entering the draft, Wilson is #14 linebacker, 162 overall!

No, obviously, but my point is, NOBODY who knows football, and doesn't have an agenda would tell you Wilson is a better LB than TROTTER! NOBODY! These awards #### me off because they're always about Sports writers who never played a day in their geeky lives and have their own agenda. This is the same reason Watson had better stats, more wins, and won head to head, but lost the Heisman to Lamar. Lamar lost as many games in that one season as Watson did in his entire career!

I think plenty of people would say Wilson had a more impressive season than Trotter, which is really what the award comes down to. As far as that heisman, yes Watson should have won (and won back to back really) but LJ had the better stats that season. He also had plenty of talent around him while Lamar’s best receiver would rather run out of bounds than take a hit.
