Love me some eggplant lasagna ! Drove east from San Jose to Santa Nella, CA today. That area must be the garlic capital of the world. They grow a lot of it. You can even find roadside places that sell garlic ice cream.
Anyhoo…. Through the hour long drive through those hills the air is absolutely permeated with the smell of garlic. It put me in the mood for Italian.
In a short while I’ll be headed over to the bar at Pea Soup Andersen’s and sadly they don’t have Italian on the menu. It’s all Dutch and Deutsch.
