Because Clemson has a pretty good soil science program and what was described is fairly simple chemistry.
Unfortunately "had" a great soil program. It seems it got dissolved and split up back into Agronomy and Forestry.
When I went it was in Agronomy dept but it's own standalone program.
I started out Premed then went Environmental Engineering but back then that was dig, haul pour concrete vs true in situ remediation and other restoration techniques. So switched to Soil Science.
