Over recruiting?

Feb 12, 2020, 9:00 PM

With Bryant and Brice making the moves that they did, and with the possibility of another QB moving on with the addition of DJ and Helms, are we over recruiting at the QB position just to see someone leave when that offer could go to another kid at a position? One that wouldn’t leave? I would think that the possibility of transferring weighs on the recruiter’s minds now more than it used to... especially at the QB spot.

considering how important this position has become, one must have more backups than other positions. Remember Maryland about 5 or six years ago down to their fifth string QB, a converted LB. Remember two years ago when TL went out of the Syracuse game and we had Hunter as a forth string QB, even though he was an option QB in high school.

You can't risk low numbers at a position like QB. Sure several will transfer, but in the case of an injury or 2 you need the depth. Honestly if you are a high 3 low 4 star and get an opportunity at Clemson, where you can red shirt and graduate early, why not get first class training at the position. You transfer with 2 years remaining and have the backing of our staff for your next opportunity.
