Out of curiousity, how much do you pay CU for cell service?

Sep 10, 2012, 10:05 AM

Oh wait, you mean to tell me that they don't offer cellular service for profit?

Wait what?

Maybe your complaints would be better served on the appropriate forum.

http://forums.verizon.com/

Not EVERYTHING is Clemson's fault ;).

"Excuse me? I don't go down to your work and tell you how to flip the burger!"

But when you advertise like crazy that

Sep 10, 2012, 10:17 AM

cell service will be improved in the stadium because you just installed these fancy signal boosters, we should notice improvement.

Did IPTAY donations pay for those boosters? If so then we paid CU for the service.

Yep. If Clemson advertises that they've taken steps to

Sep 10, 2012, 10:19 AM

improve service for all their fans and it doesn't happen, shouldn't Clemson be the one you let know?

Isn't Verizon one of our sponsors?

Sep 10, 2012, 10:26 AM

How do you know that this wasn't part of a sponsorship package to promote service. Fact of the matter is, Clemson had no way to Beta test these boosters until Saturday, so they HAD to rely on Verizon's research on the matter. Clemson was probably obligated to advertise it as a part of the sponsorship with Verizon. Again, not Clemson's problem.

Clemson shouldn't have sent out a press release touting it

Sep 10, 2012, 10:28 AM

then if they weren't sure it worked 100%.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Sponsorship have contractual obligations...

Sep 10, 2012, 10:36 AM

the press release could have been a legal requirement in the contract execution.

What about this?

Wow, someone in the IPTAY office saw a crane

Sep 10, 2012, 10:42 AM

and wanted to tweet about a stadium improvement that he was told would upgrade the cell signal.

I think that calls for a full ticket refund for all Verizon customers.

It's no more or less than any other photo update we see posted here 10 times a day from members. Guy was excited about an improvement.

Well you can spin every example I post the way you want, but

Sep 10, 2012, 10:53 AM

is everything I've known and learned about the cell phone improvements came from Clemson. They sent out a press the fact is that Clemson sent out the release, they put quotes in news stories (including on TNet about them), numerous people within the athletic department (including the schools official handles) put out tweets talking about the enhancement and what it is going to do. I've been told the same was done on facebook. Clemson also has to approve every ad that goes up on those strip screens so isn't the onus on them to make it accurate?

Considering all the different times and ways I've heard about this from Clemson and Clemson only, I certainly think Clemson is the ones to let know if it isn't working. The first time I even saw verizon advertise it was at the game (again, which Clemson had to improve it), but by then I had already heard about it 1,000 times.

Stupid tablets. What I was trying to say is

Wait, your tablet failed you?

Sep 10, 2012, 11:09 AM

have you complained on tigernet about it yet? ;)

See what I did there?

But it should be us complaining to Clemson

Sep 10, 2012, 10:29 AM [ in reply to Isn't Verizon one of our sponsors? ]

and then Clemson complaining to Verizon for making them look like idiots.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

ATT customers were texting me the whole game.***

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

My texts actually worked fine. I had the darnest time

Sep 10, 2012, 10:26 AM

checking the scores and stats that were advertised that I'd be able to do though.
