And I do not think it is exclusively a portal issue. Going back to the 2021 season we do not have the elite talent at QB like we used to mask bad poor offensive scheme. Add in poor WR development over the last few seasons and either Cade needs to step it up tremendously or we need to look for new coaching on the offensive side of the ball. At this rate this will be another 3-4 loss season at best.

Several elite WRs and QBs in the portal the last several years. Dabo just refuses to pursue that route. In the acc alone last year FSU was beneficiary and this year Miami appears to have taken that baton. Or maybe even nc state.

Why is it a postal issue? It’s a poor coaching and player development issue. You can bring in great portal receivers every year but if you can’t coach them what good is that going to do?

I echo this too - a WR scoring a TD or someone blowing an assignment is not the portal just magically making them better....it's coaching, development, and scheme.

Could there be some players we'd benefit from grabbing out the portal? Sure! But just passively posting on TigerNet...LOOK! SOMEONE FROM THE PORTAL MADE A PLAY! DABO JUST DOESNT WANT PORTAL PLAYERS.

Like it's wild how folks are equating portal players = instant upgrades. It's not. I agree we should be trying to get the best players here by all means but the portal isn't gonna make all the problems with scheme, development, or coaching go away.

Yeah, I guess you could say the coaching, execution, play calling, lack of talent did us in. Portal schmortal... Who needs extra talent when you've got all of this?
