The defense is so poorly coached that it seems like our new DC is only working part time and is distracted by an off field issue (e.g., ailing family member). And that would be Dabo's M.O. to hire someone knowing of this distraction.

It just makes no sense at all...Pork Chop was a much better DC.

Just can’t understand how these coordinator hires have been busts. Thought they were both great hires and neither have been worth a flip. Never thought our defense would be this awful.

You do know neither of these coordinator hires were able to bring their own staffs. They had to keep and work with Dabo’s hand picked inexperienced coaches.

I’m guessing that’s an issue.

Most of the time when a big time and expensive coordinator hire is made they bring in their own folks they’re experienced and comfortable with.

He is right you know! Riley was brought in to run the "Clemson offense". You know , the one we adopted after Dabo got butt hurt over being called a CEO coach? The one he has his fingers in? The one he never said a word about but chewed on BV's butt over the defense during BV last year here?

It’s his 1st year but hey everyone can’t be as brilliant football minds as some Clemson “fans” think they are. Hoping said “fans” will run along and become fair weather fans elsewhere !!

Only thing I can think of is that Wes had us in such bad shape it’s gonna take a while to fix. Plus it’s the same position coaches so they are still being taught the same bad habits as before.

Too many projects that have no business playing at the fbs level. Woodaz, Kelly, Denhoff, Strozier, Lukas, Hannafin, etc. Lots of D coordinators would have trouble getting these guys good enough to defend decent offenses.
