Got blown out even worse by Georgia in the opener a couple years ago.
They went on to be in contention for the playoff.
Georgia is tough for a season opener.
This was a total 2nd half loss. It was a competitive game, until we failed to adjust like Georgia did.
It’s not encouraging. But we don’t play another team in the same vicinity of Georgia.
Everything is in front of us. Its 12-team, remember?

Nah it’s a dumb take. The D is good. Nobody disputes that. But the O sucks just like it has for several years. If they sneak into the 12 team playoff, you’ll likely see them destroyed on an SEC home field.

That Oregon team had Bo Nix at QB and that Georgia team that stomped them was dramatically better than the team Georgia showed today.
Georgia will lose 2/3 games. They’re not a top 5 team. Other teams will exploit their weaknesses.
Cade is certainly no Bo Nix. We will win 8/9 games and play in a decent bowl. That’s our ceiling going forward as long as Dabo is calling the shots.
Even if we did somehow slip in to the playoffs… why do you want to get destroyed by another SEC or Big 10 opponent?

Oregon is my second team, after Clemson.
This year’s Tigers are nothing like Oregon. The differences are profound.
Hate to say this, but the Tigers are very doubtful to make the playoff. QB just isn’t good enough. Neither is the OC.
If Dabo doesn’t start using the transfer portal, Clemson will never contend for another championship.
