If we are a recruiting mainstay

Why have we lost 4 in a row to a school that is not?

TakRules, instead of complaining, why don't you evaluate the two programs over the last 8 years, which is how long Spurrier has been at Carolina, versus how long Swinney has been the HC at Clemson. Some posters like you amaze me with your thought processes, or lack thereof. Also, please look at the title of the original post, "a recruiting mainstay" and I believe we are there now and will be there for a long to come. Victories come when you establish a sustainable program and we are definitely doing that at Clemson.

Are you satisfied just finishing high in recruiting rankings every year or do you want to also go back to beating our arch rivals who apparently aren't perennial recruiting mainstays but who have beat us FOUR years in a row?

With football season not starting for another 6 months, are we supposed to only post about how we lost to USC for that long?
Or maybe since we just passed national signing day it's worth a look ahead to next year's national signing day. I know it's hard to comprehend, but there's not many football games to discuss this time of year...

Tank Rules,
Could you comment on how you felt during and after 63-17?
Thanks,

Because we recruit needs and our coach doesn't care about rankings.
Its easy to rank high with recruiting services when you're entire class is WRs and DBs

Most of our highest rated guys were on defense in fact 15 of 23 were defensive guys and 2 were OL so that leaves six players on offense this year and one or two of those guys may move to D. Think a little harder before you post

I will be completely happy when Clemson becomes a "Top 5 mainstay".
As for "Tank Rules", dude you need to go cluck on over to your chicken $Hit coot coop!!
Losing "4 in a row" is the least of our problems. We take our "State trophy" back this year....no worries there.
Unlike you ignorant Coot fans, we arent consumed with winning that last game of the year, this coming year, we will focus on winning a bigger trophy in Pasadena!!!
Meanwhile, you Cootbags will focus all your ill-advised energy and obsession in beating Clemson and be mired in continued mediocrity!! Cling to those Alabama coat-tails and tout being in the "Mighty SEC", because that is ALL your sorry a$$ chickens will EVER EVER have!!!
Tweet THAT!!!

We are not obsessed with beating Clemson every year. Spurrier put an end to that when he got here.
Looks like it worked out.
I still don't understand why Clemson fans have to try and down play the importance of the game now that their on the losing side. Really doesn't make any sense as it obviously an important game

The real truth

USC has beaten us last two years without lattimore. This past year they beat us at home with At best 3star back up qb Dylan Thompson who had no success before us. He lit it up on our field at night on a national espn stage. But we recruit well. So lets get excited about recruiting. Lateek' ' justin Parker' ,mike Bellamy' tony steward, Stephane Anthony all got us top rankings. Where are they now?

This is why Spurrier doesn't care for recruiting rankings/ratings. You have to develop the players you get no matter how talented they are coming out of HS

Dylan Thompson had a lot of success before the CU game and in fact most coot fans in cola were calling for him to replace Connor midway through the season. He is a much much better passer than Shaw and I would not be surprised to see him win the starting spot next year

Well I said we because I think our fanbase has become less obsessed. Case in point before Spurrier got here a ton of fans would rather beat Clemson than win the SEC. I think the percentages in our fan base have flipped on that now

It was you who said, "if yall are content with victories you weren't alive to witness.."
I've been alive 50 years, and I've seen FAR more Clemson victories over you than you've seen over us. Heck, it's 5-5 the last 10 games, and this is your best stretch in 120 years of playing football.
What are you talking about? Do you even know?

i'm 22 and experienced a tough stretch in the series including attending the game in '03. But Clemson's winning percentage is only 60% overall, which most of yall like to trumpet.

right, but when florida wen't on their 11-1 streak against uga, uga fans didn't whine and point to the overall record.
Heres something that might put things into perspective for yall a little better.
