Nikki Haley called Trump a lying sack of poo this morning. Is she too late

to step up and speak honestly and critically about Trump to have any significant effect on the GOP nomination process?
Probably too little too late.

Trumpists are already locked in and won't move over to her. The only hope is enough independents get into the primaries and vote her.

Given that 43% of Haley backers in Iowa said they would vote for Biden if Trump

is the GOP nominee, while only 23% say they would vote for Trump, it seems unlikely that she develops any substantial support from the GOP base that overwhelmingly supports Trump no matter how many more times courts rule against him.
Trump needs Independents to get elected, but they can't stand the guy. Nikki does well with Independents.

And give the Pubs a solid leader for eight years. But the Trumpies are too dumb to realize that. They could easily have the Pubs take control again if they just got behind her.

Isn't it so stupid of a GOP candidate to actually want the votes of Independents and moderate Dems.
The GOP could actually win the popular vote which they haven't won since 2004 when Bush got just over 50% against Kerry. The GOP could actually hope to not have to squeak by in the Electoral College.
Trump will be unlikely to win in the general election despite how poorly Biden is viewed by almost 2/3 of Americans.
Personally, I want to win and both Haley and certainly DeSantis are more conservative than Trump.
Haley has the best chance to win, but some it would seem would rather be angry than to get "even."
With Biden as the presumptive opponent, this election is for the taking. Unfortunately, if Trump is the nominee, I see him losing and bringing down a lot of down ballot GOP candidates.
There is a reason Biden wants to run against Trump.

She just has to show well.
Like I thought they would, No Labels wants her, and they can get her on the ballot in all fifty states. (I saw this one coming months back. Here, I'll pat myself on the back.) My guess is, if she runs with No Labels she'd pair with somebody moderate like Pete Buttigieg from the Dem side in a cross-party ticket and run right down the middle.
I think she wins going away if that happens. Almost fifty per cent of even the hardcore GOP'ers that made it out in Iowa in subzero weather voted for someone other than Trump in the primary. A similar (or maybe even greater) number of Dems are disillusioned with Biden.
Add in the fact they're on average close to thirty years younger than the likely Dem and GOP candidates, I don't think it'll end up being close.
New Hampshire will tell us if this strategy is viable or not. I personally believe it is.

but probably won't make it another 4 years.
Basically, a vote for Trump is a vote for Biden, but essentially is a vote for Kamala.
Does anyone want her as POTUS?

She won't run 3rd party. She can run again in 2028.Although a Manchin/Hogan No Labels ticket is nowhere near as conservative as I would want, I definitely would vote for that ticket over either Biden or Trump.
It's time for quiet competence. I hope No Labels puts together a bipartisan ticket, but I don't think Nikki will go this route. I'm not impressed with Pete at all.

I'm sure he thinks its super clever, and maybe I would too if I understood what the insult was (doubtful, but you never know).

Trump is now nothing more than a blowhard, self-promoting, insulting, butt-kissing, primadona overgrown adolescent. Especially with all his juvenile nicknames and petty insults.
At least Biden can blame his age and senility for his goofiness. For Trump, this is a choice. I don't want either of them, and either will be horrible for this country.

talk over the last year, it’s clear he has mentally left the reservation. He is legitimately crazy, and has no grasp on reality. Biden is demented and old and forgetful, while Trump is in outer space.
