My subwoofer was doing OK but has stopped.
It aint needed with the speakers I have, but I miss it.

What do yall think as to this one for my outdoor 11X11 Dude Haus?

https://www.klipsch.com/products/rp-1000sw-subwoofer

It is large for out here at 25inches long, 57 pounds, 19 to 131 Hz, 300 W (RMS) 600 W (Peak)

I would check every connection and measure ohms to make sure that your speaker wire is allowing what is needed for the woofer to work like it's supposed to. years of using the same speaker wire with the wires getting moved around can cause strand breakage in the wire making the wire insufficient to drive the woofer, that's just as bad as corroded or lose connections...I would also pull the woofer out of the box to make there isn't any broken or loose wires, and some woofers depending on the manufacture will install a fuse at the back of the woofer so that it can't be overloaded and totally ruin the magnet in the woofer or tear that reflex material on the woofer... If no fuse is found, it's possible you may have to replace the woofer bc of magnet or the reflex material damage....

After looking at the back of the woofer, I would most definitely check the voltage selector, it most likely went out, that's what electrical switches will do without any prior warning that it's getting tired.

Thanks, put that in storage until I am motivated to work on it.
You are right as to all you posted.

I bought this used Sunfire - HRS-IW8 on ebay which is expensive but more for movies than music. I got it cheap. It has an exterior amp which seems to be working. The actual sub is passive.
I have never been really happy with it on the porch just for music. Music needs "quick".
I use solid wire, all is new as my home burned down.

I am kinda eager to move on and try different as that is kinda the hobby.

If I had money and space, I would consider that subwoofer.

"Better Audio" is not one piece of gear but a system that must mesh to your environment. It is trial and error, you can't just pick it up on one trip to Walmart.

Before the fire had a 150 lb Def Tec that was OK.
Then I had $20K speakers.
I am downsizing.

Decent if you have the whole system, it’ll set you back about 7 grand to have it wired and all with your theater system.
