Incredible footwork, so light on his feet for such a tall frame. Go tigers!

Agree, while he can clean that footwork up a good bit still, many people won't realize how far ahead he is in that department compared to most HS QBs. Nice throwing motion with good release point on most of those throws, and yet showed the ability to get it out of his hand in rythm for the wr to make a play, rather than being robotic. Throw in nice mobility, and oh yeah, we are going to have some QB battles for the foreseeable future.

2 things I noticed

Ignoring the fact that yeah - nice throws ...
Obvious: he is quick and the secondary appears to repeatedly underestimate and take bad angles. That was impressive.
Less obvious: didn't see him work progressions. Lots of quick decisions (good?), but looked like he 'knew' where he was going the entire time and never appeared to 1) look off the defense or 2) check down to second or third targets.

I remember some wannabe scouting gurus trying to say Deshaun was a one read system QB. Problem is these he is on another level in diagnosing defense pre-snap he knows where the ball should go and is throwing to an NFL caliber WR who gets to his spot. Probably the same with this kid.

Dorchester High. He was asked if he would come with all those other qb's. He answered "I don't mind competition." Deshaun is his role model and his buddy John Simpson is enrolling this fall.Personally, I hope they all don't mind competition, are willing to do a "redshirt" if needed. and are willing to wait their turn?
