Says a lot about how they see us also how our “talent” level has dropped since Natty days. I think our roster is good and returning to form but definitely not at elite level we as fans think we are.

It is a new year and it is time for an honest assessment of where we are. In the past 3 years, we have lost 3 games, 3 games and then 4 games. Our drop dead, no doubt, Top 5 status is gone until we can prove we are that program again. You can yell, scream, put your head in the sand but there is no ESPN vendetta against our program. At this point, Dabo has recruited the 11th ranked group for this fall and last year we were ranked 10th. We have many of the pieces in place but not the go to, skill guys we had in the past and until we get them, we will not be the top story on ESPN Sports Center. Hopefully going to a 12 team Playoff will give us a shot and you know what Dabo can do with a shot.

Over the last 3 years your dirtpeckers have 18 losses, zero conference championships, zero conference championship appearances, lost your last bowl game, no bowl this year and no bowl game next year
Stop worrying about Clemson recruiting and coaching and worry about your own

Clemson's class rankings haven't really mattered

over the last decade. Usually we're somewhere around the top 10. Our 2020 class was ranked third by 247, the highest ranked and the least productive of any class over the last ten years.
Meanwhile, the 2013 class was ranked 15th and had these guys: Mike Williams, Ben Boulware, Mackensie Alexander, Wayne Gallman, Shaq Lawson, Jayron Kearse, Jordan Leggett. Pretty dang good.
2017 class was one of the best too, but it was ranked 16th.

Point is, there's a ton of unknown that is baked into class rankings. In the past Clemson has seen highly ranked classes underperform and less touted classes outperform.
Just watched some highlight footage of TJ Moore and Bryant Wesco. If those guys pan out and turn out to be total studs, well . . . this class could end up being a great one. They sure look a lot different on tape than what we have now. Talent level might be about to go up a notch.
