Jets call Clemson wide receiver at "Peake" time

As Saturday afternoon turned into early evening, Charone Peake began to think that he might not hear his named called in the 2016 NFL Draft and he began to mull over free agent possibilities. Then his phone rang, and everything changed. Full Story »

I'm at least 90% sure it has been the injury bug for Peake that left him on the board until the end of the draft. Teams saw that he had NFL talent, but they also felt that he was a risk of maybe a career ending injury at the NFL level. I like and care about Peake, and I will pray that he has a long and successful NFL career. He spent a long time at Clemson when he could have just given up. He didn't give up and worked his way back, and for that he deserves his chance IMO. Good luck Charone Peake with your Clemson degree, and with a long career in the NFL!!!

2 years out from the last injury will also help

He should really be a 100% now.

I think Peake will be a sleeper.

I dont think he will be a hall of famer but I think he will have a solid 7+ year NFL career. I think he had a lot of adversity but kept fighting and barring another injury will do well.

i think he will

Be a great receiver in the league. He has proven he is a great blocker, has good speed, good hands and a great teammate. This is what a lot of teams are looking for. Work hard and keep making us proud!

He will be much better than his draft status would indicate.***

One think I know for sure, he'll be the best blocking WR in

I am glad CP was drafted, and believe he can make an impact. I wish him the best.
