He reminds me of that cartoon Tasmanian devil running wide open all around smacking his lip like he's going to eat everything he comes up to. I love his energy and how aggressive he is in the game, and I love how he plays enough to say he is one of my most favorite players on the team. Him and Grady Jarrett kind of reminded me of each by playing full out on every play. I'm very happy that the flag was pick up, but I also believe he was very lucky that it was. By the way the rules were changed for targeting this season, the rule is pretty clear cut. The new rules can be read in the link...
http://www.sbnation.com/college-football/2016/9/7/12829482/targeting-penalty-rulebook-ncaa-football
In the video where Ben was flagged for the Targeting, go to the 31-32 second mark, click on settings, set the slow motion on .05, watch the hit in slow motion and decide for yourself if it was a good clean FB hit, or could it be construed as targeting. I M P O, Ben did leave his feet with his forearm striking the QB in the neck and head, but I truly believe that it was an unintentional bang bang hit that looked to be the definition of targeting. Is Ben a dirty player, H&LL no not by any means, he is just a high octane player that loves the game of FB. There will be times with players like Ben and Ben himself that will make plays that look to be against the rules type plays. But with Ben, I believe it's bc of him being a high intense got to make the play player, and that is the type of player I love and want on my team!!!

Struck the QB in the shoulder not neck or head. Good grief

I think this article did a great job of telling me that Ben

has played over 2000 clean snaps in his career. I must have read that sentence over 4 times in different ways.
Mission accomplished.

I hope during the usuck game, Big Ben

crushes Perry Orth, then runs over to the sidelines and whacks Brandon McIlwain,
and then runs up to the usuck broadcast booth and clotheslines Todd Ellis.

I don't like the article saying that he tackled Lamar Jackson by the neck. I've looked at the video and pics multiple times. It clearly shows Ben's arm across the collar bone area and not around the neck, actually a few inches below the neck. That area is protected by the shoulder pads, correct?

Beno is one of my all-time favorite players. I love that aggressiveness and hope he continues that style of play. My favorite part of the article is Venable telling him not to talk to the enemy.

Ben is not a dirty player, he is a very intense, committed player that any one of these whining cry babies would love to have on their team. He didn't choke that pansy from Louisville, if he had, Lamartard would have been unconscious. My nephew met Ben and got his autograph at football camp last June and he said he is an "awesome guy" who took the time to sit around with a bunch of 10 year olds and talk about football. That doesn't sound like a mean guy to me.

Keep on keeping on, Mr. Boulware. This game isn't for the faint of heart. Sounds like we've got some faint of heart trying to be somewhere they shouldn't be.
Leadership is more than how fast or how well a person can throw a ball, it's also about character, class and leadership. Mr. Watson has class, leadership and character. LJ proved by his response he does not.
The Hiesaman Trophy should go to the best Leader, not just the best runner. You helped show us all that LJ isn't ready. He's got a little more growing up to do. The voters are wrong if they give it to him.
You and the Clemson Tigers have class, character and leadership (which is propogated by Your Coach). Something a lot of teams (and their fans) lack. Especially those who get upset for getting tackled (ref: LJ), don't agree with Coach Swinney's coaching style (ref: onsides kick) or can't recognize a good hit when they see one (every great play you make).
Maybe they ought to go watch badminton.
For the rest of us who appreciate the game of football; keep on keeping on...... Stay aggressive. And don't let 'em through. Keep'em out of the end zone and out of field goal range. Three and out is the name of the game.
You guys are fun to watch.
Keep on keeping on......

I love boulware's ferocity and take no prisoners attitude. We have not had that in a long time. Really gonna miss this cat (no pun intended) when he graduates this year. He truly is a new age version of Atlanta falcon great Tommy nobis. Google him folks...

All were labeled "Dirty" in their day. The sport embraces Ben's level of play - unless you happen to be playing against him. All of these greats are either HOF's or Pro Bowlers and not one second is lost today on how "great" they were. Keep it up Ben and you'll move into the rarified air of these greats. Go Tigers!

You ask me...confirmed now in this pic, in case people haven't seen this. Looks like the arm, though high up, is hitting the shoulder, not the neck:
