Today …finally … the prosecution in the NY Trump / hush money case has revealed their ‘secret’ (previously undisclosed) key charge.

(It is breathtakingly horrible that, the State of NY legal system,a criminal trial can be started without the prosecution revealing the actual statute that had been allegedly violated.)

So now we finally know.

The election interference charge is, statutorily, a misdemeanor.

Back to the other (collateral) charge that was revealed before the trial, e.g., the ‘bad bookkeeping’ violation: Another misdemeanor.

The whole S.Daniels / M.Cohen / who paid what and how did it get paid thing is how the two misdemeanors get woven together into concoction to create a felony.

Misdemeanor + misdemeanor = (in NY) felony.
