Once a tiger.

Always a tiger…. IS that statement true now in the modern sorry age of college football with NIL and transfer….

Especially when a former tiger goes to a key in-conference rival?

I have nothing against any kid trying to better themselves and even make a few bucks in the new system, but in my book, if you leave and then go to an in-conference rival, then you are dead to Tiger nation, at least until your college career is over…

Maybe it’s time for once a tiger always a Tiger to change? What y’all think?

I'm pretty sure we only say that sarcastically now.

it happen before, and so have other schools.

DJ left Clemson, because our staff finally decided we had to make a change. He's now leaving Oregon State, because he thinks he needs a change. Regardless, he will be a one-and-done. We've had Clemson men to become staff members, then leave either for better opportunities or because we had to make a change. I still regard all as Tiger Brethren.

In fact, though not particularly happy with Terry Kinard's recent brouhaha, I'm not going to throw a man long held in high esteem under the bus for a misunderstanding and rush to judgment.

By the way best wishes for the new year, and Go Tigerrrrrrs!

In my mind, if you leave with your Clemson degree you are always a Tiger...

He got his Clemson degree. Plus he QBed most of the Syracuse game in 2018 with the comeback that saved the perfect season on the way to the national championship. Of course we know that ETN carried the Tigers in that game with over 200 yards rushing and 3 TDs.

Even though he transferred to Duke, then to App State, he'll always be a Tiger.
