CLEMSON, S.C. -- Donald Igwebuike kicked three field goals and added four extra points and Mike Eppley threw his school-record 23rd career touchdown pass Saturday to lead Clemson to a 37-14 Atlantic Coast Conference victory over Wake Forest. Igwebuike's field goals included a 52-yarder in the first quarter.
The Tigers, 6-2, gained 209 yards on the ground and another 201 in the air to record their eighth straight win over the Demon Deacons, 5-4.
The Tigers opened the scoring less than four minutes into the game when Terrance Roulhac pulled in a 10-yard pass from Eppley. The senior quarterback connected on 11 of 17 passes for 107 yards. Igwebuike followed his 52-yard field goal with a 26-yard effort in the first quarter.
Terrence Flagler scored for Celmson on a 14-yard run and Stacey Driver bolted into the end zone from 8 yards out. Only four seconds were left in the half when Wake Forest scored on an 8-yard pass from Foy White to Duane Owens.
After a scoreless third quarter, Clemson made it 34-7 on a 17-yard Ray Williams' touchdown run. Igwebuike added his fourth extra point, and the Nigerian kicker finished his scoring with a 38-yard field goal.
Wake Forest scored its last points on a 15-yard pass from Jamie Harris to Wes Stauffer with 12 seconds left in the game.
