On a flight to Atlanta with CJ Spiller earlier this morning

Jan 20, 2016, 5:15 PM

Unbelievably nice guy.

He said he wishes he could play in the offense that Clemson is going to roll-out next year. He said he thinks Clemson may be nearly unstoppable on offense in 2016.

Does anyone know how CJ and Feaster compare in their track times?

Feaster reportedly runs a 4.34 forty....

Jan 20, 2016, 5:22 PM

at the Nike Combine which is smokin'

I believe Spiller ran a 4.27 at the NFL combine.

I think cj ran in the 4.3s actually.

They probably adjusted it after the run?

Was that unofficial? I remember them adding a tenth which I thought brought it up to 4.3something. Maybe the 4.27 was after the tenth. Idk.

Cj was around 10.7-11 in high school I believe. He wasn't even the fastest player on that clemson team. Jacoby ford was a 100 meter ncaa champion and broke the clemson record I think.

Jacoby may be able to beat him on a track but cj was way faster on the field

Jan 20, 2016, 2:50 PM

Maybe it was the adrenaline or something but I've never seen a player separate from the pack quicker than spiller. Jacoby didn't have field jets like CJ.

Spiller ran a 4.37 at the combine I am pretty sure. Jacoby ran a 4.28. Only clemson guy in the top 10 ever.

CJ ran in the 4.2's unofficially and I'm pretty sure it was his funky starting position with his arm that caused him to officially run in the 4.3's. You could tell watching him run though that he was closer to a 4.3 flat guy than what his official time was. Either way, he was/is fast.

I'm officially jealous of you.

Jan 20, 2016, 8:45 PM

So did you sit right beside him? Does he like New Orleans?

I would have completely fan boy-ed out around him if that was me...

"So, CJ, remember... remember when you caught that swing pass against GT on the sideline and juked those two guys to score a TD? You remember that? That was AWESOME!"
