the single biggest disappointment in my life in regards to CU athletics is our basketball program. ive watched our football team win it all. ive seen our baseball team play for a national championship. and then theres our basketball program...

the running joke around my household is that the tigers basketball team sure looks good in their uniforms. we might suck but dang that orange, white, and purple looks good out there.

to me it comes down to commitment. ohio st. does both well. UF does both well. Wisconsin does both very well. it can be done my good people. it takes money. it takes a desire to do both well. tate George may have changed history for us with that shot. Eldon Campbell and Horace grant led a solid group. we haven't been worth a crap in forever. im sick of it. I want to look forward to basketball season. double the budget, double the wins. demand wins, fire coaches who don't win, and keep pumping money into facilities and it'll happen. me<--- #### sick of it. ready for sept.

ps- gotta admit though... we look good in our uniforms :(

I don't see the new Littlejohn making a difference. I remember the Mahaffey days, the Tree days, Horace Grant days, Greg Buckners day, et al....I would not think a Pitino or a Wojo, or a Cremmins or even an Amaker failing here...but when you see a Shyatt or a Brownell you sort of expect it. To this day you wonder why a kid who wants to play top level competition would not consider Clemson. Seems you could tell them something like "Duke and UNC are full and cant take you, but we can and you can play against them and get a top rate education also"...kids should be standing in line to play for us. Maybe we need to hire Cliff back as our recruiting coordinator...

DD & Eldin were my fav bball years. Buckner was the next.

Is he not coaching for the Rockets at some level? Wish he'd come back here and help us in some form...since he chose the profession.

This is the perspective I've had that even back in the 80's

was prevalent and held by old schoolers then- even letter men. "We will never compete in the ACC without facilities as well as the bias between a privileged few and the rest of us."

It sure explains to me why Barnes and OP left the greatest bball conf in college sports. Each were in a position of great job security. This also is why I still get peeved over Cliff Ellis not getting T's.
