If he was involved in an active extortion investigation, he would not be on Tucker Carlson talking about it, nor would the DOJ comment on it, as I am sure he already knew.

The roping Tucker into his defense is a reference to Gaetz claiming they all had dinner and Tucker met this person which Tucker denies having any memory of. Reminding everyone that Tucker also has sexual misconduct allegations was just the cherry on top of the idiot sundae.

I also really enjoy that he's publicly going around basically admitting to a lot of this like "of course I flew her all over and we even had dinner with Tucker" like it's not going to be very easy to establish how old she was at the time. I can't wait for tomorrow when the narrative switches to him having no idea she was a minor.

I know you liberal loonies got a semi-chub when watching these selectively edited clips.
1. The reason all of this came out and Gaetz is defending himself is because it was leaked by the NYT
2. Gaetz denies all accusations
3. He’s calling on the DOJ to release the tapes when his father wore a wire to expose an extortion attempt.
Why don’t we wait until actual facts come out to determine who is telling the truth.
Either way there seems to be way more to this story. I’ve heard his dad was also involved in a murder for hire plot that is somehow involved in this case. This is probably going to get crazy.

HEY !!
Maybe ALL of you guys could wait a day or two for more FACTS to come out before you jump all over this.
I don't like Gaetz politically or personally, but he is being accused of some serious bullyshitt. This could easily end his career - AND send him to prison. Maybe we could all avoid a rush to judgement and see where the DoJ investigation takes us.
If he is guilty of these things, may he get a nice long prison sentence. If he is innocent of these things, may all of this have a minimal impact on he and his family.

He has openly admitted that the DOJ is investigating him and it is related to his Seminole County friend currently awaiting trial for a laundry list of crimes. I get that being investigated doesn't make him guilty, but it's certainly worth talking about, especially some of the catastrophically stupid things he has said and done.
