We all got 'em - when you hear it, you immediately go back to a certain time & place. Mine are kinda weird, but if you knew me, that wouldn't surprise you!
My freshman year, in 87, I think the theme for the 1st Friday parade was Wipe Out or something like that, so the song "Wipe Out" by the Beach Boys and the Fat Boys always reminds me of freshman year. Not that I hear that song very often, thankfully!
Another one that comes to mind is "Back to Life" by Soul II Soul. For some reason, I remember hearing that in the student union while there to get a snack. Really random, I know.
Last, for some reason "Cult of Personality" by Living Colour always reminds me of Clemson. It came out while I was there, and they played Death Valley with the Stones during that time, too, on the Steel Wheels tour. I just have a random memory of hearing that out on Bowman Field one day while working on homecoming floats.
All really random. I know. Whatever!

Dire Straits Money for Nothing was being played constantly my first semester at Clemson, fall of 85. Went to a party with a local band playing at the armory and they played it. Great memories everyone I hear it.

They got back together a while back, played every now and then. Their guitar player was already pushing 40 when they sold their first album, he must be in his late 60's.

For me, it’s Billy Idol Flesh for Fantasy. One of the neighbors on Johnstone B9 had an extended version and he would crank that up such that it rattled the metal walls. Seems like always was a game day wake-up call. Good times!

Had a mix tape that I would pop in as soon as I would leave my driveway headed back to Clemson (end of summer, weekends, etc)…Learning to Fly by TP and the HB’s…I lived on a dirt road, so the first line..”Well, I started out down a dirty road” was appropriate. Whenever I hear that song, I immediately flash back to turning right out of my driveway, along with the smell of dirt and honeysuckle.

Lotta 80s guys in here...surprised I didn't see "What I Like About You" by the Romantics. That made all the girls hop at TTT.
I discovered alt rock at Clemson...still enjoy it...many many 80s alt rock songs remind me of Clemson, like "Blister in the Sun" which has already been mentioned.
Someone also mentioned David Alan Coe and "You Never Even Called Me By My Name." Never was a big country guy but loved singing that one at closing time.

Omg I love music and I always tie music with the years and what I was doing then.
From my Johnstone years 1982-1984 I would have to say “The look of love” by ABC and not because I loved it but because my neighbor across the hall played it alllll the time 😳. MY fave song I remember during that time was “owner of a lonely heart” by Yes. I still love that song.
I moved to Riverbank commons fall of 1984-1987. There were so many I remember but I would have to say”I feel for you” by Chaka khan, Caribbean queen by Billy Ocean, the Frankie goes to Hollywood album, Klymaxx album, West end girls and word up by Cameo. There are so many that remind me of Clemson!
