The season is not over nor should we give up on the team after one game. Recalibrating our expectations is certainly needed. We are not currently elite but let's see how the season progresses. Now with that said here's my main offensive concern. The scheme. It looked like a Frankenstein merger of Garrett Riley's scheme and the Clemson offense. No crossing routes no mesh concept key to the air raid. No middle-of-the-field usage, and we did not trust our QB/WR to throw in the red zone. The WRs aren't good but what was all this talk about spreading the field and getting athletes out in space? I believe Cade can be great but my word he didn't look ready. So where do we go from here? Either go back to the stale awful Clemson offense grind out a few wins, or go all in and let Garrett do his thing. We don't have the WR/OL talent to execute either offense well. But go all in on an identity and not this mix of schemes.
