Of course Clemson football fandom under Dabo is a cult!

Nov 3, 2022, 6:23 PM

So what? It’s only natural!

Honestly, you can take any fan base of any program in the country it’s clear that when they have a highly successful person in charge, who wins at a level like never before for that program, the tendency is to develop a very powerful affinity for that person and their accomplishments.

When a group as rabidly loyal as Clemson football fans are finally rewarded with a decade of absolutely unprecedented success after over a century of mostly mediocrity with only occasional rays of hope, the person behind that success is going to be seen as someone worthy of reverence and trust.

Those who insist on sniping away at Dabo for not being perfect in everything he does should probably consider the alternatives. We’ve experienced the alternatives and they have not been pretty.

if Clemson is a cult under Dabo, then it’s pretty evident that he’s giving cults a good name!

Count me as a loyal cult member.

Bet the Cult of Saban is still pretty strong even after UT

Coach K’s cult remained pretty steady through some down ticks as well.

I hope it's not cult. I got a Clemson tattoo a couple years ago. Maybe I shouldn't have gotten it.

Re: I remember a Bama Lady cult member diving

over two rows of stadium seats, to get at an Okie fan, because Oklahoma was stomping Bama and he was talking junk about Saban. If I'm not mistaken, she sent a tearful video to Saban, apologizing for her behavior, but she just couldn't stand anyone making light of the greatest coach, in the world. Maybe we are a cult, but at least we're not bonkers.

Oops! I just remembered, I have to get down to the nearest convenience store, and sell flowers for Dabos Church of What's Happnin' Now.
