OC on the field

Just curious if Riley would benefit from being in the box to just get a better view of what’s goin on … I mean Dabo can handle the a$$ chewing if he needs to and there’s communication readily availed to talk to the OC in the box … just seems like it would be an advantage as opposed to being on the field and possibly missing a good bit… I’m not a football coach and don’t claim to be just something iv wondered is all.

Why not??? Can't hurt. Riley being on the field doesn't seem to do much.

Agree, he isn’t firing up anyone on the sidelines with that demeanor so might as well try the box.

He always looks confused when they show him on TV. Like he can’t figure out why his offense isn’t working.

To feed your curiosity, yes, we would have won the game had Riley

This post reminded me of something which happened in Columbia several years ago. One of the coot players said he drank pickle juice before the game in order to survive the heat that is famous in the midlands. The idea caught on with the coot fan base so they were sipping pickle juice in between the twenty or so natty lights they drank pregame. I guess it never occurred to them that a Gatorade would have the same result

Totally get the point of the post, it's just not completely factual. Pickle juice has way more sodium per fluid ounce than Gatorade, and if you're doing activity that's purging tons of water and electrolytes out of your body in a short window of time, pickle juice is actually way, way better. Like not even close it's so much better. But for a casual fan, hardly needed at all.

Played college football and have been in the emergency room way more than I'd like to remember with heat exhaustion and full body cramps. I sweat so much my water absorption rate is lower than my sweat rate when I'm doing prolonged outdoor activity like football. I'd drink so much water/gatorade/you name it, that I'd want to puke it up. Just sweat faster. Pickle juice is an easy corrector for the problem especially once it gets out of hand. There's also a water/electrolyte balance that has to remain within reason or that alone can induce cramping.

When I mow my grass, 45 mins tops. If it's 90+ degrees outside, I skip water entirely and only do Gatorade. I usually take a few gulps of Pickle juice when I come in on the way to shower and that's the only thing that keeps me from cramping. Just a little FYI science direct from an exercise science major that also has been in that exact scenario, except I guarantee worse than that usuck player.

I don't understand why our receivers can't separate from their defenders. Our opposing team's receivers always seem to be wide open. What are they doing that we're not? In zone coverage receivers are supposed to find seams between the zone to get open but in man-to-man coverage they're supposed to
confuse the defender enough to get a step on them and then break open. We must be doing something wrong on both sides of the ball. Our players can't be that bad so it must be our coaches fault. Seems it's been this way for years even with coaching changes.

yep, in the booth or on the sidelines..... doesn't matter. WRs can't block, run routes when Cade actually gets them a catchable ball.
