I am not a baseball expert or a rocket surgeon. The one thing that stuck out for me after 2 games with the caulks was we chased a bunch of bad pitches.

Really quite simple. If your pitcher is on, you can shut down the other team's offense.

My two biggest concerns...

Batting it appears we chase bad balls way too much.

and....

We wait too late when a pitcher needs to be pulled before we do.

Too often last year we oudl wait til the other team has two or three on base with o or 1 our before we would do something about it.

So you pull a pitcher with 2 on and 1 out every time?

That's why coaching baseball is hard. You have to know the pitchers and situation.

Schmidt pitched a really good game yesterday and will be a very good hurler for you guys for quite awhile. Congrats to the young man for doing so well in a rivalry game.

I've seen Holmes pitch much better than yesterday - just baseball.

We're a very young team.

They better grow up FAST as in TODAY!

Uphill battle for us.
