Obed Ariri and Donald Igwebuike

I have been introduced to someone from Nigeria on a number of occasions through the years. When I mention Obed Ariri and Donald Igwebuike, they always feel comfortable knowing that I have an appreciation for their country and culture. Not to mention being impressed that I can pronounce Igwebuike. Then we start talking about Clemson and that being my favorite location on this particular planet.

Obed spent Thanksgiving with me in 1980, I think. Drove to CU,picked him up, spent a few days with us and then took him back..Still have the shirt he gave me..Probably the last time I saw him..Made me famous for a short time while having him in town.A great guy.

when he kicked like a 54 yarder to win it with no time left. UVA fans had been going crazy up until that point as they were still 0 fer against us.
