Well, hopefully boulware can fuel that fire, and it sounds like Luke may have that persona too.

The hate Clemson and said we had NO chance against Alabama in San Jose. We went 15-0, wasted Alabama, and they said Clemson won, but…….

Those other two talking heads have no original thoughts. They prove that you can make a LOT of money saying nothing of substance.
I'm so glad to see someone else who works for the mother ship fire back! I hope he entire team is taking note.
Last year we were clearly overrated and Cade was not ready for prime time.
This year we're being disrespected. I hope that #2 proves all the doubters wrong.

I'm thinking that Cade is going to shock a lot of people in the college FB world this season, and that's when all the BS double talk will start up. Cade had a half A$$ performing O line last season, most of his best receivers were either injured or just coming off an injury and hadn't had much playing time in weeks. Remember that childhood song about the foot bone connected to leg bone so on and so on. Well, the QB is connected to the OL and the OL is connected to wide receivers and all three of those things has to work together or it barely works at all. If our O L is doing a better job, and the WR's are healthy and doing what they are expected to do, Cade will prove himself as being the QB that was recruited to Clemson period, and that's how it has to happen for it all to work as it should!!!

I agree 100%.
I tend to wear orange-colored glasses, but the pieces are there. We may not have a true #1 WR (that we know of), but we have a LOT of really good players. And one of the best TEs in the nation.
Just a little improvement on the OL, and a little improvement/maturity from Cade, and we'll be significantly better.
I think those are not simply hopes, but reasonable expectations.

We are almost universally being picked to do better than we did last year, despite key losses to the NFL and transfer portal.
It’s actually a sign of respect that they aren’t picking us to be worse than we were last year.
I’m not sure what some of you think would be a more respectful prediction for our season. Lock for the playoffs and legitimate national championship contender?!?

Our problem is with these two most overrated "analysts", Finebum and Dimwitch, singling us out as the "most overrated team". But they're paid to pump the mighty SEC, so why would we expect otherwise?

I know judge is going to take heat on this post, but he actually makes a pretty good argument. With the exception of a couple pundits, most outlets have been very generous towards Clemson. Most put us right on the bubble and pick us as a 10 win team losing to fsu in the acc championship game... and they realize we're not getting in as a two loss acc team. And there right.

Not sure what Heather said that was wrong...the defense has always been good but the past few seasons the offense has been inconsistent and last year it was downright horrible. All the talk about Cade being a 5* prospect and #1 QB in his class is wasted air if it doesn't translate to on field play. We can make all the excuses about new OC, injured WR's and poor OLine pay (all of which are true) but as Arnold Schwarzenegger said...." Results or Excuses...you can't have both. " Now is the time to put up or shut up. NO MORE TALK!!! AUGUST 31ST @12NOON IN THE GEORGIA DOME!! BEAT THEM DAWGS!! GO TIGERS!! ENOUGH SAID!!

If Mike Norvell had taken the Bama job instead of turning it down, Finebaum would be calling him the best coach in America and predicting he will break Saban's record.
If Clemson and FSU end up in the SEC in a couple of years, both those fools will be singing their praises call them top 10 teams in the country for the past 2 decades.

Who knows what the season will look like. Clearly we are not as dominant as we were there for a while, but still a pretty darn good team.
We do have some things to clean up, no question. Turnovers being top priority. If I recall correctly, the turnovers are always bad but become debilitating when it either directly takes away from Clemson point or adds directly to opponents. Pick six, redzone turnovers, scoop and score are just killers

Yep. If we can limit a fumble or pick to an immediate tackle instead of opposing scores, we will be much better. The turnovers last year were truly disastrous.

In their defense, they aren't, and never were, analysts - at least not of college football.
They're panelists - they're not there to analyze, they're there to... well, I'm not really sure what they're supposed to do. Watched them a few times, couldn't figure out their purpose, haven't watched in a while.
ESPN is a place to watch sports, but certainly not a place to learn anything insightful about them (with some exceptions, some VERY good exceptions).
Those three in the picture were never someone to turn to for a thoughtful discussion of what is happening in college football.
They don't know. They read what others think and then attempt to regurgitate it, usually without forethought.
