$12M still alot to pay

32

Sep 30, 2023, 5:11 PM

for 3-2 and no shot at anything but a mid-tier snooze bowl.

When they's 25 other HC's pulling down $12M/year to miss the playoffs and finish with two (or maybe more) conference losses, I'll stop beating the drum.

But until then, solid win today.
But not good enough.
Not even close.

Hook 'Em.

Flip over to ABC or CBS (or watch USC/Colorado highlights) to remember what big boy football look like.

Real question, why does the $12m matter?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

You must be a trust fund baby.

4

Oct 1, 2023, 8:29 AM

Only a trust fund baby would ask why paying someone $12M to underperform matters.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Dabo's making $12mil and it's bothering you to the point

Oct 1, 2023, 3:30 PM

of popping up out of your dark little capon-hole and crying because you don't like it! That's what we like, KEEP ON POSTING, at 58% you won't be around much longer to express your concern over Dabo!!

I have relatives all over the state of Texas, and the 'horns' are currently the laughingstock of the entire state, accomplished NADA since 2005!! You even tried pulling a former assistant coot-coach (C.Strong) to bring you back from the bottom. How'd that work out?!!!

In his defense, I think he referenced that he is a Texas fan. If he was a coot fan, at least he could brag on women's basketball or bass fishing. I don't think Texas has done anything in anything in the last 20 years. They have 1 win against Saban's worst team in 20 years and think they are invincible.

Just wait until next year when you are playing in the SEC and can't make a mid tier bowl. As for this year, you will be going down harder than a coot cheerleader and almost as quickly.

4

Cant dispute that. Even when I was there.

Isnt this a football board?

Since it is, Im happy to say we arent paying our guy $12M to lose to Duke.

Oct 1, 2023, 9:02 AM

He's confused and waiting for the real "Texas is back" moment. You know, the REAL UT that normally loses to OU, and finishes around 7-5, maybe 8-4 in the Big12.

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Yeah, OU may show up and knock us off.

Oct 1, 2023, 2:16 PM

It's possible.
Good news is, OU isnt Duke -- we could go home with an L and still have a puncher's shot at a CFP berth depending on a few things coming together.

Either way, its comforting knowing the RR Shootout has national implications for a change. Will be tuning in from Tiger Park on Saturday.

Interesting: The UT and OU HCs, combined, are just barely pullin' down what ol' Dabo's pullin' down solo.

And both helming programs with more money than Clemson'll ever see.

Ironic, kinda.
