Seems headed to the CFP --- even after loosing their only two games against strong opponents, and not a conference champ.

The committee would be pushing for ND even with 3 losses I bet.

Notre Dame did play for the national championship last if I remember correctly and did not lose in the 1st round, maybe that starts this year.

Are we watching the same QB for ND?

CJ Carr looks legitimately good and is just a FR. He's currently 10th in QBR and has looked solid in every game other than the USC one. I think he's easily their best QB since Ian Book.

A middle of the pack SEC team, at the best, if they were over here.

didn't they just stomp out Georgia in the playoffs? and make it to the national title game? pretty sure they stomped out arkansas by 43 as well.....lost to A&M by 1 point due to missed extra point in a game they controlled..............Notre Dame would most likely win the SEC this year and perhaps fairly easily.
SEC cult always has a fetish that other conferences top teams are always "middle of the pack" if they played in SEC.....they said it last year before the TN vs Ohio State playoff game, the Bama vs Michigan game and the Texas vs Ohio State which the SEC got dismantled in every last one of.

That’s the Power of the Pope for you. From the Vatican he makes a few calls ND is in. lol 😂
ND has been irrelevant for decades and they cannot win the big games but some sports media outlets and ESPN are still living in the Knute Rockne days and the days of Rudy .
They did win their last NC in 1988 under Lou Holtz best West Virginia. I believe Woodruff’s Tony Rice was the QB. ND snatched him out from Danny Ford. I believe Danny could have won his 2nd NC if Tony Rice had come to Clemson.
