stayed at the Clemson House (when it was actually a hotel) at least once when he came to the area to check out some property he'd purchased near Long Creek.....
Bob Hope's visit was a huge deal.

Nothing can top the Dave Chappelle performance in 2003-2004 (my freshmen year).
Dude was halarious. Shortly after he had a crazy spell and moved to Africa for awhile.
All the drunk students yelling "YAYA" & "WHAT!" probably contributed to him going crazy.

Cheech and Chong in the fall of 1973 was great also. My sides hurt after the concert. It was Lynyrd Skynyrd, the Marshal Tucker Band and Cheech and Chong in one concert.

I was at that show and very embarrassed. It wasn't so much heckling as people shouting out catch phrases from the Chappelle Show on Comedy Central (Lil Jon, etc.). Dave was eager to try out new material but some idiots preferred to yell lines that were 2 or 3 years old back at him. I'd like to say it was high school kids, but the truth is, most of them appeared to be CU students. It was a #### shame.
Still not so awful as the Woo Hoo, mind you.

Totally agree. He considered leaving the stage at one time, but decided not to.
I frankly wouldn't have blamed him the way some people were acting.
Unfortunately some dumbazzes can't handle their liquor.
