7'5" "project"???

Apr 11, 2014, 9:42 AM

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/meet-7-foot-5-junior-181538027.html

He jumps like me but he really doesn't have to go up very far.

we recently had a 7 foot project....didn't work out too well

Apr 11, 2014, 9:58 AM

I'd rather hace a 6'5" fleet footed athletic flyer....or 6'6" like what we have.

Baciu was a 4-star prospect coming out of HS and could

move really well for his size. He was just a terrible fit for Purnell's system. If Coach Brownell would have been here for all 4 of his years, I have no doubt he would have developed into really good player for us. He's still playing professionally in Europe I believe.

how can he average only 11 pts?***

How can they go 11-15 is the real question***

Probably only plays a few minutes per game.***

Also, he probably can't really dribble or defend well.

Apr 11, 2014, 12:24 PM

Probably fouls out quickly.

I would love to see him in ORANGE blocking some shots.

he looks like Elden Campbell

Wow.

Apr 11, 2014, 11:59 AM

I say give him some pads, a helmet, & some cleats & send him on his way down field. Throw the ball into the skies in his general direction & watch him catch 5 TDs a game.

They will fail to tackle Tacko Fall.

Not worth it

Apr 11, 2014, 1:00 PM

He took one "shot" on the mixtape I watched and it was a free throw. We can't risk taking a 7'5" guy that can only dunk and block. It just wouldn't be worth it (eg. Kenny George from UNC-A)

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Kenny George was actually good...

Apr 11, 2014, 3:38 PM

He was 1st in the country in FG% and 8th in blocked shots as a sophomore. He averaged 12 points, 7 rebounds, and 3.3 blocks a game even though he only played 20 mpg. He was also the conference's defensive play of the year, and advanced statistics say he was 4th in the conference in win shares.

He likely would have improved even more his JR and SR seasons. Unfortunately, before his JR season started, he contracted a really bad staph infection that required part of his right foot be amputated. The staph infection ended his basketball career.

If this kid is the next Kenny George, then he'd be worth taking.
