Speaking entirely for myself...

based on all of the recent and ongoing construction work around campus, people being displaced/relocated was inevitable. That said, I think the ticket office did an unbelievably poor job handling it. No communication whatsoever other than the e-mail that everyone received yesterday. By then, all parking assignments had been issued and communicated which left unhappy fans with very few if any other options.

guessing the entire thing was done by a computer. why else would my friend get moved 2 rows back from where they were. also guessing the only people that got personal service were people being done favors.

Your friend got moved back because others with more points that qualified for that lot out-pointed him and requested specific spaces. They others were either higher donor levels or just had more points or both.

OBVIOUSLY YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND ENGLISH. I MERELY POINTED OUT THAT MY FRIEND, WHO HAD BEEN THERE FOR YEARS GOT MOVED 30 FEET. I KNOW ABOUT POINTS. WAS JUST TALKING COMMON SENSE AND NO NEED IN IT BEING DONE. GUESSING THE GUY WITH 1 MORE POINT WOULD HAVE NEVER KNOWN THE DIFFERENCE.

Is it by points or by donation level and then points? No transparency, conflicting info.

That's why we chose a lot 10 years ago where we knew we would not get bumped out by big donors, construction, etc. It sucks but that is todays society. Just wait until they get new seats everywhere in the stadium which is long overdue for an upgrade. That my friends is coming sooner than later.

It sucks for people who got moved out but it’s not all about the money. You have to remember that giving level allows you to pick a parking tier. Then points come in to play. If high level donors that can get tier 1 or tier 2 ask for a tier 5 like lot 10, they will get that before anyone else that is eligible for that lower tier lot. You and 9 others might donate at a level that gives you access to lot 10. If only one space is left for those 10 requests, the one with the most points gets it. You have to factor in both giving level and points.

Yes, but there are some 40+ year members that give at tier 6 levels that will out-point newer donors at those levels.

It does not perform this way. I was a Riggs donor this year and didn't get tier 1, got tier 5.
Donation level obviosuly comes after points. This is conflicting from the eligibility chart they put out there.

I think it is broken and they f’d it up. I should be talking to IPTAY tomorrow (anssuming they actually follow through with their communicated SLA) about mine and going to have them walk me through the math. There is no way there are that many people donating tiers 1-5 to push you down that far not me in my situation.

They have already ignored me and stopped responding to request for transparency regarding Georgia tickets.
People who selected less expensive tickets paid that tier and got "upgraded" based on priority points above the people who selected the $450 club tickets.
So if you chose club and got Club you paid $450. If you chose lower and got Club you paid less. According to IPTAY, it didn't matter what level you chose, you got assigned by Priority points.
At this point I'll wait until they post the report on parking assignments. I already emailed them, I get everything (or lack thereof) in writing. I'll likely have to escalate it.

I should've been able to go to Brooks Center or STI at my giving level They didn't follow their guidelines. That's false advertising to get me to pay at the Tiger Level with the choice of Tier Six parking lots and then give me a Tier 7 parking space.

You will know for sure when they post 2024 giving levels for each lot later in the fall. It’s quite possible that higher giving levels and higher points took everything above what you got. I know when we were picking for this year we saw the 2023 results and there were many Riggs level donors in lot 10. That is tier 5 way below what they qualify for. That means several of those levels band together and get specific spaces in lower tiers. That reduces spaces available for us lower level donors in those lots.

there is still a "good ole boy" component to how tickets and parking are allocated. If a high level donor wants his family, who donates significantly less, parking beside him, IPTAY is going to accommodate that request which, to your point, reduces the spaces available for the people who actually pay to be in those lots.

the money goes to everything but NIL and Football
think what the ACC is to Clemson Football IPTAY is a close relative
110 Society does the same
Clemson is kind of averaging down football to average up the other programs . too bad football is the only money maker

I’ve been a season ticket holder for years. Early on it was great. But as time has gone on, it’s gotten worse and worse. It’s one of the only things I know of where the people trying to sell you something say… just pay as much as you can and we’ll give you the best possible. You really don’t know what you are buying.

That’s where Clemson has a huge problem that is brewing. As folks continue to drop out of IPTAY, scholarships are not going to be funded. The increase in scholarships that got released today has accelerated the degradation of the health of Clemson athletics.

Dealing with the traffic, the crowds, the drunks, the loud music.
My wife can remember beaching the boat by the d i k e, walking over to DV, buying a ticket, a Coke, and a hotdog, then motoring back home after.
Back when day games were the only option and college football was just ... a ... game.
I realize I sound old and curmudgeonly. But it's gotten so out of whack.

Sounds like it’s a mess. I park in public parking and always have. When money runs things the people that pay the most always end up better than those that can’t or won’t pay as much. I don’t hold any ill will towards those people who are willing to pay the high levels. That is their choice and my choice is to not pay at those levels. I still enjoy tailgating with my oldest son and I enjoy the games

Even beyond IPTAY
I know a ton of parents are pissed about this. You’re paying for your kid to go to school here, and you can’t get gameday parking even for Fall Family weekend unless you’ve already been a big time donor. Doesn’t exactly create good will feelings towards the school.

season, which was my last year for season tickets. My previous parking spot was #4 on the lawn of Earle Hall, which was great for me. Drop down the hill, hit perimeter road after the games, and gone. A short walk to the stadium for the games from my spot, short walk back after.
That was 2008. In 2009, I was moved all the way out to the Strom Thurmond proximity lot. Meaning, I didn't even HAVE an assigned spot, just first come, first served somewhere in that vast lot. I arrived a little late for one game, and was so far away, I almost missed kickoff. Physical health was declining by then anyway, so after that season I said, enough is enough. Leave it to the young pups to fight for tickets and parking spaces. My recliner is a GREAT seat, and parking my butt on it is never a problem.
