is where Shane's "motivation" comes from.

Well, of course, Beamer's Papa, Daddy Frank Beamer was a longtime Head Coach at Va Tech, leading them to 3 Big East Football Titles as well as 4 ACC Championships.

The last of which ACC crowns came in 2010, but without followup because his program was summarily replaced by Dabo Swinney's Clemson Tigers at the top of the3 ACC in 2011. This, of course, was only prelude to a longer Tiger Title run beginning in 2015.

No doubt ol' Shane doesn't appreciate the fact that Dabo escorted his Daddy out the door and into retirement, sadly, but I'll be very happy when Dabo does same to Shane in South Carolina.

The list goes on of Coaches put out to pasture by Dabo: Will Muschamp, Frank Beamer, Al Golden, Steve Addazio, Tom O'Brien, Manny Diaz, Scott Schafer, et al.

Shane's headstone will look good on that list as well.

Anybody remember the comment Daddy Beamer made when CU was looking for a coach (Bowden) and he was asked about his interest and he said CU fans needed to lower their expectation and that our ceiling was 8 or 9 wins a year. Basically our Natty in 81 was a fluke. All this while coaching at Va Tech?

S.O.B. is not a little turtle. He is a terrapin. See the difference? His mouth opens and closes but the words coming out are memorized from the little Dabo doll that he sleeps with.
